Networking Speed-Meetings at Airwaves Pro
In conjunction with Airwaves Pro and Iceland Airwaves, Iceland Music and collections society STEF are proud to present a series of networking events between Icelandic artists and music industry both Icelandic and international.
Listening sessions with International Music Supervisors
Iceland Music and STEF are proud to present two listening sessions with international music supervisors on 6 November, the first day of Iceland Airwaves. The first session will be held from 10AM to 12PM and the second from 2PM to 4PM.
These annual listening sessions organised by STEF and Iceland Music give Icelandic artists the opportunity to have their music heard by international music supervisors and pitch agents, who place music in TV, movies, commercials and more, providing artists the chance to have their music heard by vast audiences abroad. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet music supervisors who have worked with projects such as Vikings, The Handmaid’s Tale, Moonrise Kingdom and more. Music supervisors will provide immediate feedback on tracks and give artists advice on getting their music used in various visual projects.
Participation in the listening sessions is free. Registration is open, and artists can apply by sending an email to info@stef.is with their kennitala and stating if they have a preference either for the 10AM or 2PM session. Registration for the listening sessions close on October 17.
Annual Networking Speed-Meetings
Create opportunities to find your next collaborator in these annual networking meetings organised by Iceland Music. This year, networking meetings will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8, from 10:30AM to 12PM on each day and as part of the Airwaves Pro conference.
Attending music industry professionals include delegates from record labels, managers, promoters, booking agents and more. Artists have the chance to hit it off with these professionals from both Iceland and abroad in a 10-minute speed-dating format, after which artists can further develop these connections both at Airwaves and beyond. With more than 20 industry professionals from both Iceland and abroad, these meetings are invaluable to help expand an artist’s network, as well as providing advice and knowledge to work with and develop an artist’s career.
Icelandic artists can apply by filling out this form; applications are open until 27 October 2019.
Attendance is open to all Icelandic artists.
See you there!
