As a partner of Airwaves Pro, Iceland Music held three sets of networking meetings between Icelandic musicians and music industry professionals. The 10-minute speed meetings were well-attended and with many new connections formed.
Listening sessions
In collaboration with STEF, we also held four listening sessions with music supervisors from abroad. Icelandic musicians were given the opportunity to submit their music to international music supervisors who listened and gave comments on their music.
Firestarter
The six teams that participated in the Firestarter music accelerator, supported by Iceland Music, Reykjavik Music City and Icelandic Startups, with the support of Samtón, Sena Live and the Ministry of Industry and Innovation, presented their companies and answered questions from a panel.
Studio tour
A select group of music professionals and foreign journalists were taken on a tour of Icelandic studios in connection with Record in Iceland.
Record in Iceland
A presentation and Q&A for the Record in Iceland refund programme was held for conference attendees at Airwaves Pro.
Ja Ja Ja Birthday Brunch
To wrap up festivities, a Ja Ja Ja birthday brunch was held at the Iceland Music office. Nordic music professionals as well as Icelandic music companies and artists were in attendance. 🥳
