The eruption of the Fagradalsfjall volcano is on everyone's lips here in Iceland, after several weeks of relentless tremors! Located about 40 km from Reykjavík, the volcano woke up after about 8 centuries of inactivity. Icelanders consider it a "happy eruption" as it is mostly harmless, but still very impressive!

Among them, many musicians have since flocked to the site of the ‘Eldgos’ (the Icelandic word for eruption, as you may have guessed) to take pictures, each more beautiful than the next, of this sumptuous and quite extraordinary spectacle 🌋

As such, we have concocted a small compilation of some of the nicest images captured by our local talents…

KALEO are back with a new stunning live performance of their latest single SKINNY, filmed directly on site…

Bonus!

Did you know that superstar Björk filmed the music video for Black Lake, taken from her album Vulnicura, precisely at the location where the eruption is currently happening? Björk herself posted about this wonderful coincidence on her socials, stating how “blown away” she was. And we sure are too!

In case you missed it, you can (re)watch the music video below!
