LÓN & Brek perform at Nordic Folk Alliance 2023 for Iceland

LÓN and Brek are the Icelandic artists showcasing at Nordic Folk Alliance, festival and conference in Roskilde, Denmark in April.

LÓN consists of one of Iceland's most beloved artist Valdimar Guðmundsson (better known as the frontman of a 6-piece rock and roll band Valdimar) exploring their folk roots along with powerhouse performers Ásgeir Aðalsteinsson and Ómar Guðjónsson in their new Americana project. Brek mainly plays original, folky music with various influences. The emphasis is on combining the various influences from different styles of folk and popular music. Both LÓN and Brek have gathered international attention and performed at the Nordic Folk Alliance sister festival International Folk Alliance in Kansas, USA.

Nordic Folk Alliance is the largest annual meeting place for the Nordic Folk community and the industry surrounding it. The event focuses on music from the Nordic countries, and welcomes delegates from across the globe. During the event you can hear the music at showcase concerts, and expand your network and knowledge at seminars and talks - and there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with new and old friends.

The curated showcases feature touring and export-ready artists, representing a diverse array of folk genres including Nordic Folk, Global Roots, Americana, Indie-Folk, Indigenous Music, Traditional, Singer-songwriter, Spoken Word, and every imaginable fusion.
