The full-on Icelandic culture festival Taste of Iceland has just began in Boston

Taste of Iceland 2022 is on tour and stops in Boston on April 7-11, as the premiere Icelandic culture festival.

Taste of Iceland is an annual event celebrating Icelandic culture across North America. During the festival, you will be able to transport yourself to Iceland through a series of events in celebration of the best of Icelandic culture through food, music, literature, and more.

The events will be hosted at Cheeky Monkey Restaurant, Alibi - The Liberty Hotel, Royale, The Brattle, SoWa Power Station, and Down Under School of Yoga, offering something for everyone to experience a piece of Iceland.

Most events will be free to the public with limited capacity. Guests are encouraged to register for each at the link HERE to receive up-to-date information.

Bríet

Bríet is an Icelandic singer and multi-instrumentalist who has been gaining well-deserved attention with her debut album Kveðja, Bríet which won album of the year at the 2021 Icelandic music awards. She is a visual and artistic performer seeking deeper meaning and connections to her artistic choices. This reflects in her work, as Bríet directs her own videos, music short films and most of her shows. She is also a prominent actress and paints as well.

Axel Flóvent

Singer-songwriter Axel Flóvent is an alternative/indie artist from Iceland. His newest album, You Stay by the Sea is inspired by the search for a place to feel at peace taps into the DIY spirit of his earliest recordings, but with a sense of refinement and newfound wisdom. It yielded an international phenomenon in the form of the title track, generating over 40 million streams.

Hermigervill

A longtime heavyweight of the Icelandic music scene, DJ Hermigervill, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer has worked with many notable Icelandic artists, produced a multitude of Icelandic number-one hits and released innumerable records under various guises. Hermigervill's unique electronic live act has made crowds big and small dance all over the world.

In 2022 Taste of Iceland will be coming to several places, including Denver, CO (May 12-15); Chicago (Sept 1-4) and Toronto, CANADA (Sept 22-27); Seattle, WA (Oct-TBD).
