ARNY MARGRET

Arny Margret is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from the Westfjords of Iceland. Born and raised in a small town called Ísafjörður, she attended a music school from the age of six, learning to play the piano. When she was 14, she got her first guitar and spent hours and days in her bedroom teaching herself to play it, slowly reaching the confidence to write her own music.

LÓN

With decades of experience in the music industry and a handful of university degrees in music between them, the members of LÓN have played in countless bands and toured Europe and North America. During the 2020 lockdown, three long-time friends and collaborators got together to make music including  one of Iceland's most beloved artists, Valdimar Guðmundsson (from Valdimar), with powerhouse performers Ásgeir Aðalsteinsson and Ómar Guðjónsson in new Americana project LÓN.

EYDÍS EVENSEN

In line with the traditions of her homeland Eydís Evensen achieved an outstanding feat of tonal expressiveness with her debut “Bylur” last year. It’s music for lovers and for mourners for cool sunrises as well as October days on which clouds obscure our central star. It’s precisely this delicate ambivalence resonating in Evensen's compositions that shows how far her compositional process has already evolved. Her latest EP "Frost" (2022) puts this to show but also shows that consistent advancement is something she holds very dear.
